Walk with Claire began during a season of change. I was working full-time in the film and television industry when everything came to a sudden halt due to the strikes. While navigating that pause, I saw a need in my community and decided to lean into something that had always brought me joy — caring for animals. What started as a practical pivot quickly became something meaningful, and now I do both.
Growing up, my life was basically a zoo (literally). My parents bred dogs, sheep, birds — you name it. My first dog, Regis (a miniature schnauzer), sparked my love for animals at just 7 years old. There’s even a picture of us competing together at a pet show — scroll my Instagram for proof!
I’ve been surrounded by animals since the day I was born. Our home was always full of cats, dogs, bunnies, guinea pigs—you name it. My uncle used to bring home injured wildlife to care for, and he passed that love of nurturing animals on to me. From caring for injured birds and squirrels to spending my days with dogs, animals have always been a big part of my life.
When I’m not walking dogs, I run a little vintage store, which gives me the flexibility to spend time outdoors and with the animals I adore. Being able to combine my love for animals with meaningful work is truly fulfilling, and I treat every furry friend like they’re my own.
